I quit like 2 years ago, so things have probably changed a lot though , and matchmaking seems pretty strange. Maybe there’s a smurfing problem like there was in LoL, but some accounts I’ve seen have like the beta tester icon, level 3 god mastery with custom skins, and some people seeming to have a really in-depth knowledge of the voice chat feature. Stuff that a real low level person wouldn’t know.
And since you can’t see the levels of the people you group with, I don’t know if they’re actually a much higher level than me or something.

The game heavily weights your level when matchmaking, so having an even spread is key, but not so important you can’t work with whatever you happen to get in your session.
The two party hosts need to select Australian servers. You do this by pressing X when you’re choosing a gametype to search with your party. Search together one of the party leaders will have to join the XBL party of the other for the matchmaking portion – 10 people can’t fit in a party together. As another part of the flood of announcements being released today, the Joust game mode will also be undergoing several major changes as we move into season 3. The first thing to announce pertaining to Joust is the inclusion of a brand new Joust map. The map has experienced a complete metamorphosis, from the removal of the base wall to a reduction of buffs on the map.
In their place are now only 3 buffs 2 blue and 1 red. The blue buffs are placed in a way that each team should be able to safely secure one, but the red buff is in an isolated area in the middle of the map, so this will be hotly contested between both teams. The map itself also feels much smaller, as the majority of the jungle is now concentrated on a single side of the lane rather than both.
These changes, along with the small, winding jungle corridors, were designed to generate numerous instances of action in Joust games, as players will now be encountering each other far more often.

Conquest League games are designed to provide the highest quality matches for experienced Conquest players. Each League Season is broken up into several 2 month Rounds. After each Round, players who have played at least 10 matches receive rewards, such as icons and badges, based on their placement in the League. At the end of a Season, players receive greater rewards based upon their placement. Conquest League may be queued as solo or in parties of two.
Must be Level You may only play gods that you are at Mastery Level 1 or higher. Players queueing in a party of two must be within one tier of each other. Qualifying players may queue together or with players who are placed currently in Bronze, Silver, or Gold Tier. League uses a 6 ban draft pick system. Leagues are broken up into 5 Tiers, with 5 Divisions each, and one Masters Tier. As you win League games, you earn Tribute.

Because Team B has a slightly lower MMR, if team B pulls off the “upset” they will gain more points, however what is likely to happen is that team B will lose, this being the case team B will lose less MMR because they went into the match at a disadvantage. The problem with this system is that MMR is hidden, and even though you may lose 3 games in a row because of terrible team mates Which i dont agree with, just giving an example , your MMR might have barely changed.
Because your MMR has barely changed, you will be grouped with people around the same skill level as you were before the losses. Is this system fair? Having 3 people to communicate vs a full team of 5 is not fair, however there are compensations, such as attempting to match people in a party vs other people in a party, does that always happen?
Party Size affects matchmaking in a few ways. First, when parties are paired together, their MMR is calculated using a formula to approximate what their MMR is together. This considers the idea that being in a party adds synergy that wouldn’t otherwise be there, and experienced players in a party .
There are also separate Elos for each different competitive ranked queue. Only ranked queues display the skill value. For the Smite game, we have made the following modifications: We only keep a skill on the player not by god since matchmaking does not know ahead of time what god will be selected. If after a match is finished, the system analyzes the players KDA, gold, and in game level reached If a players metrics are extremely different than the rest of the team good or bad , then his Elo is changed accordingly.
This allows adjustment up for a player who carries a team, or down for one who provides no contribution. If a player drops out or does not pick a god in the lobby, Elo is calculated as if that player caused the loss. If players on both sides drop out, both of them get Elo loss. Matchmaking Smite queues are timer based.
